As we have been learning about sound editing, I’ve surprisingly been able to pick up on it quicker than I thought.i ran into friends that work in the entertainment industry , they do sound for films and music videos. I talked to them about using audacity and they discouraged learning to much about it and instead said to use other programs that have more use in their profession like adobe programs and another which I don’t remember the name of. They showed me some of their equipment like mic booms.

Our next project is aimed at video and sound and I’m worried about editing sound but also being able to match it to the video. I’ve used premier in the past but needed help with features in that regard.

As to what my video will focus on I’ve thought about doing it on issues in my community.  Currently “Save Greynolds Park” is an activist initiative to have the city reject a condo being built next to the park. The park is a historic plot with many people who have grown up there. Love-ins were held there in the sixties, school events and summer camp programs continue today. Wildlife would be endangered with the increased human activity and traffic from the new residents. Construction would disrupt the plants and trees that protects the animals.  I would like to shoot interviews with older adults who were there in the era of peace and love, an interview with a child who is playing in the park, and do a quick segment of its history.  I would like to use a go pro to shoot first person point of view stapped to my chest by walking through the park, climbing the coral castle, and the foliage that surrounds the park.

Activists have been campaigning against the construction and I would like to shoot them at a town hall. I have some elements laid out but need to work on a final script to organize scenes and ideas.
